Ibn Mas’ūd رصي
الله عنه:
“Indeed you are within the passing of the night
& day, in limited lifespans, and preserved actions (all your deeds
recorded), and death comes suddenly ; so whomsoever sows (the seeds of) goodness will soon reap his desire (reward of Afterlife),
and whomsoever sows (the seeds of)
evil will soon reap regret (punishment
in Afterlife), and every cultivator will have what he cultivates…”
