شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله :
"ليس
من شرط المُتّقين و نحوهم أن لا يقع منهم ذنب، ولا أن يكونوا معصومين من الخطأ و
الذنوب
فإن
هذا لو كان كذلك لم يكن في الأمة مُتّق! بل من تاب من ذنوبه دخل في المتقين، و من
فعل ما يُكفّر
سيئاته
دخل في المُتقين"

Shaykhul Islam ibn Taymiyyah رحمه
الله
said:
“It is not a condition of being
(muttaqun) conscious of Allah and their likes to not fall into sin and be
infallible from mistakes and sins. Verily, if that is the case there will be no
mutaqqun in this nation (ummah). Rather,
whoever has repented from sins is considered to be amongst those who are
conscious of Allah and whoever does a
deed which expiates his sins is considered muttaqun.”
