Al-Hasan
Al-Basri [rahimahullaah] said: “If you see a man competing you in the worldly
life [i.e. mutual rivalry, wealth, fame etc.], then compete him in [affairs]
related to the afterlife [i.e. sincerely strive in all good deeds]”.
