Imām Aḥmad (رحمه الله)
said:
“The love of kalām (speculative philosophy) will not leave the heart of a person of kalām. He will not prosper. Every time he speaks with an innovated matter, he will lead himself to defend it.” Al-Ibānah, Kitāb al-Īmān (2/540).
