Supplicate to Allaah تعالى directly, the One Who answered the dua’ of Yunus عليه السلام whilst he was in the belly of the whale in the depths of the sea in darkness. The One Who loves that you call upon Him alone, without any intermediary, for He is the All-Hearer, All-Knower…

The Messenger of Allaah said:

“THERE IS NOTHING MORE HONOURABLE WITH ALLAAH, THE MOST HIGH THAN SUPPLICATION.”

What are the qualities of the NOBLE CHARACTER enjoined by the QUR'ĀN and how much are they emphasized?

5/8/17, 11:17 PM

What is The Noble Character Enjoined by the Qurʾān?

This is known by looking at the number of times the Qur’ān mentions commended trait and qualities or enjoins them:

320x Mercy (ramah)
145x Truthfulness (idq)
090x Patience (abr)
042x Pardon (‘afw)
042x Generosity (karam)
040x Trustworthiness (amānah)
025x Justice (ʿadl)

Hence, the three primary ingredients of a Muslim character are that it is merciful, truthful and patient. Then an equal mix of forgiving (pardoning), being generous and trustworthy. And then being just in all dealings with all people without exception. Whoever is absent of these qualities is remote and far from the Qur’ān to the extent of the absence of these qualities.

Turning away from the Qur'aan is turning away from the remembrance of the Most Merciful!

TURNING AWAY FROM THE REMEMBRANCE

SHAYKHUL ISLAAM IBN TAYMIYYAH

PAGE 1

And whoever turns away from remembrance of the Most Merciful We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion.*

And remembrance of the Most Merciful is the reminder which He has sent with his Messenger (may the peace and blessings be upon him) the like of the Quran, therefore whoever does not have faith in the Quran and does not attest to the truthfulness of its message and does not believe in the obligation of its commandment has turned away from it (the reminder) as a result a devil will be assigned to him and made to be his intimate companion.

And this [Quran] is a blessed message which We have sent down. Then are you with unacquainted? [al Anbiyaa:50]

PAGE 2

And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind. He will say, "My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?" [Allah] will say, "Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten." [Ta-ha: 124-126]

So that indicates that His reminder is His verses which He has revealed and for that reason if the person always remembers Allaah, the one free of all imperfections and the Most High, night and day, with utmost abstinence from the worldly pleasures and he worships Him with exertion in his worship; however he is not from those who follow his remembrance which He has revealed, and it is the Quran, then he is from the friends of the devil; even if he was to fly in the air or walked on water because it is the devil who carries him in the air and on the water

Sufyān ibn Ûyayna رحمه الله تعالى on the Excellence of Tawhīd...

Allah has not blessed His servants with a greater blessing than bestowing the understanding of la ilaha ill-Allah لا إله إلا الله upon them (the Shahadah tawhid that there is no deity worthy of worship in truth except Allah)

for indeed la ilaha ill-Allah لا إله إلا الله will be for them in the Hereafter (as critically important) as water in this World.

Random Quote of the Day

Not everyone adorned with Ilm & Hikmah is from its people; rather people of Ilm & Hikmah are those who give life to their hearts by killing [evil] desires. As for one who kills his heart [with evil] & thus gives life to desires, then ilm & Hikmah are [only] confined on his tongue.

Let Allāh Deal with Him/Her

11/30/18, 3:43 AM

A man said to Abū Ad-Dardā’: Tell me a statement by which Allāh will benefit me?

He said: “Give your honor unto Allāh. So that whoever reviles you or curses you, leave him to Allāh (to deal with).”

Al ʿAllāmah ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Bin Bāz رحمه الله on Welcoming The Blessed Month of Ramaḍān: • Happiness • Joy • Contentment • Gratitude

Al-ʿAllāmah Bin Bāz said:

I do not know of anything specific in welcoming Ramaān except that the Muslim welcomes it with happiness, joy and cheerfulness. And that he is grateful to Allāh for allowing him to reach Ramaān and [he is grateful] that He has granted him success such that He made him from those who are alive, who compete in performing righteous deeds.

Some of the Salaf said:

There is bestowed upon us so many uncountable blessings of Allah the Most High, although we disobey Him much, so we don’t know which is more worthy of being thankful for; should it be our good He spreads (amongst the people), or our evil that He conceals (from the people)…?

"Has the time not come for the hearts of those who believe to be affected by Allaah's Reminder (this Qur'an) and of what was revealed of the truth." (57:16)

Yazeed Ar-Riqãshee رحمه الله would say to himself:

“Woe to you O Yazeed, who will pray on your behalf after you die? Who will fast on your behalf after you die? Who will please your Lord on your behalf after you die?”

Then he said:

“O people, why do you not cry and weep over yourselves for the rest of your lives. For the one whom death is awaiting him and the grave will be his home and the ground his bed and the worms are his companions and in addition to this he is awaiting the Greatest  Terror, how will his state be?”
