Q. Can we
drink standing?

al-Banna رحمه الله said:
The Prophet ﷺ told Abu Hurayrah
when he saw him drinking standing, would you like a cat to drink with
you? He said, “no”, so the Prophet ﷺ said, “rather, satan is drinking with you, it’s worse.”
However, in Hajj, the Prophet ﷺ was given Zamzam to drink and he
drank it standing, why? Because the ground was wet and some blood from
sacrificial animals was on the ground so he drank standing. As for the type of
sitting, then sit how you like.
