Seeking knowledge to
revive Islam
Shaykh Abdur Razzaq Al Badr said:
The correct intention for seeking knowledge is for the
student to intend to remove ignorance from himself and others. And if the
person elevates his concern thus he seeks knowledge to revive Islam by way of
the knowledge, this is a higher station. Ibn Al Qayyim said in (The key to the
abode of happiness): Whoever seeks knowledge in order to revive Islam by way of
the knowledge then he is from the truthful, and this station is the level
beneath the level of the Prophets.
