وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا – 17:24

“And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: “My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.”

رِضَا الرَّبِّ فِي رِضَا الْوَالِدِ وَسَخَطُ الرَّبِّ فِي سَخَطِ الْوَالِدِ

“The pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the father & the anger of the Lord lies in the anger of the father.”

Al-Sahīhah no. 515

لاَ يَجْزِي وَلَدٌ وَالِدًا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَجِدَهُ مَمْلُوكًا فَيَشْتَرِيَهُ فَيُعْتِقَهُ

“A son could never repay his father unless he found him enslaved, and so he buys his freedom and releases him.”

Al-Irwā no. 1747.

Ibn Umar said: “The major sins are nine.” From them is: “The weeping of parents due to one’s mistreatment of them.”

Al-Sahīhah no. 2898.

Ibn Umar: “If you speak softly with your mother & you feed her, you should surely enter Jannah, so long as you avoid the major sins.”

Question: How does the menstruating woman, how should she seek out Laylatul Qadr and which acts of ibadaah should she perform?

The Shaykh حفظه الله said:

If she wants to seek out the night of power then its allowed for her to read  Qur’ān and she should tried read much Qur’ān  & make much supplication to Allāh Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and to remember Allāh and to seek forgiveness and to repent to Allāh, to call upon Allāh that He rectifies her situation that He improve her situation and improves the situation of her husband and her children, the daughters and the sons she make much dhikr of Allāh Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala remembered Him, reading the Qur’ān  and turning to repentance and seeking forgiveness and supplication all of that until the Sahūr…

Shaykh Rabee’ ibn Hādee al-Madhkhalee (حفظه الله) mentioned,

The one who refuses to pay Zakat will be punished for a period of 50,000 years [Saheeh Muslim no. 987], so how about the punishment for the one who abstains from the Salat?

Verily, As-Salât (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahshâ’ (i.e. great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse) and Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed) and the remembering (praising) of (you by) Allâh (in front of the angels) is greater indeed [than your remembering (praising) of Allâh in prayers]. (Sûrah 29: Ayah 45)

اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ ۖ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَىٰ عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنكَرِ ۗ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ (45)

Recite (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) what has been revealed to you of the Book (the Qur’ân), and perform As-Salât (Iqamât-as-Salât). Verily, As-Salât (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahshâ’ (i.e. great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse) and Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed)^[2] and the remembering (praising) of (you by) Allâh (in front of the angels) is greater indeed [than your remembering (praising) of Allâh in prayers]. And Allâh knows what you do. [Sûrah 29. Al-‘Ankabût Ayah 45]

^[2] It is said by Ibn’Abbâs and ‘Abdullâh bin Mas’ûd رضى الله عنهما: If the Salât (prayer) of anyone does not prevent him from Al-Fahshâ’ and Al-Munkar (all kinds of evil, illegal and sinful deeds), then his Salât (prayer) increases him in nothing but loss, and to be far away from his Lord (Allah) [Tafsīr Al-Qurtubī].

Tremendous Reminder: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ informed us concerning the man who has two wives and inclines towards one over the other:

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, “Whoever has two wives and he inclines towards one of them over the other, he will come on the Day of Judgement, and he will be lopsided.”

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān said, “This narration is a proof of the recompense and the punishment for anyone who will lean and incline towards one of his wives, over the other.”

SO AT-TAQWĀ IS THE REASON FOR HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS; IT IS THE REASON FOR THE RELIEF FROM AFFLICTION, AND HONOUR AND VICTORY IN THIS LIFE AND THE HEREAFTER.”
