The Idiot Is Known By Six Characteristics:

Ibn Al-Jawzī رحمه الله  said:

The idiot is known by six characteristics:

• Becoming angry over nothing.

• Giving to one who should not be given to.

• Speaking regarding that which is of no benefit.

• Trusting everyone.

• Spreading secrets and not differentiating (in that) between his friend and his enemy.

• Speaking about whatever comes to his heart whilst believing that he is the most intelligent of the people.

Qur’an and Sunnah contain Adhkar and supplications for refuge and protection against all physical and psychological diseases - (Fatwas of Ibn Baz volume 9)

 .....

My wife suffers from a certain disease that causes her to fear every thing and not to be able to be alone at home while another questioner mentioned that he suffers from the same problem to the extent that he can not go to the Masjid (mosque) to perform Salah (Prayer) with the congregation. He asked for a remedy for his disease away from soothsayers and charlatans.

The Shaykh advised the two questioners along with all those who are concerned to use the Adhkar (invocations and remembrances said at certain times on a regular basis) which are ordained by Allah (Exalted be He) that achieve safety, tranquility, peace and protection against Satan's tricks.

Among these Adhkar is reciting Ayat-ul-Kursy (the Qur’anic Verse of Allah’s Chair, Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:255): Allāh! Lā ilāha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al-Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists).

His Eminence Shaykh Ibn Baz described Ayat-ul-Kursy as being the best and greatest Ayah (Qur’anic verse) for it stresses the principle of Tawhid (belief in the Oneness of Allah) and devotion to Allah (Glorified be He). It also shows Allah’s Majesty and that He is the Ever Living, the Owner of everything and nothing weakens Him (may He be Glorified and Praised). The Shaykh continued saying that when a person reads this Ayah after each Salah and before going to bed, it protects him against all evils.

The Shaykh then quoted the Sahih (authentic) Hadith in which the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever recites Ayat Al-Kursi on going to bed, Allah will assign an angel to protect them and Satan will not approach them until the morning.

The Shaykh asked the questioners to try this proven prescription so that their hearts may be tranquil and that they do not see any harmful thing because the Prophet (peace be upon him) only told about the undoubted truth.

Our eminent Shaykh emphasized that Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) ordained that every male and female Muslim is to recite Surah (Qur’anic chapter) Al-Ikhlas and Al-Mu`awwidhatayn (Surahs Al-Falaq and Al-Nas) after performing every obligatory Salah. He continued that doing so is one of the causes of being healthy, safe, and cure from all diseases. In addition, the reward that a person receives for reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas equals that which they receive for reciting one third of the Qur’an.

Shaykh `Abdul-`Aziz ibn Baz pointed out that it is a Sunnah (a commendable act) that a person recites the three Surahs mentioned above three times after Fajr (Dawn) Prayer, Maghrib (Sunset) Prayer, and when going to bed for there are Sahih Hadith to this effect.

Exert yourself in doing righteous deeds for the sake of Allah ‎سبحانه و تعالى

Al-Bayhaqi reported from Mujāhid that,

“Once the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah began, Sa’eed bin Jubayr (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) would exert himself in obedience to Allah such that it was almost beyond his capacity.”

Ibn ‘Abbās (radiyallāhu ‘anhumā) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said:

“There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten,” meaning the ten of Dhul-Hijjah. They said: “O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihād in Allah’s cause?” He replied: “Not even Jihād in Allah’s cause, except for the man who left out with life and his wealth and does not return back.”

The Day Of Arafah Is The Best Day Of The Year...

Al-Imam An-Nawawi said:

This day  (the day of Arafah) is the best day of the year for prayer, so it is necessary  that a person exhaust his effort  in dhikr, prayer and the recitation of the Qurān. And he should pray  with the various types of duaa; he should pray for himself, his parents, his family, his teachers, his companions, his friends, his beloveds, all those who did good to him and the Muslims generally. And he should be careful; totally  careful from being inadequate regarding all of that. For indeed this day can not be attained again (once it is lost).

Remember your own faults!

Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu- anhu) said:

Aboo Dardaa’ رضي الله عنه said: “Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ advised me with regard to nine things:

Aboo Dardaa رضي الله عنه said:

Allaahs Messenger advised me with regard to nine things:

1. Do not associate anything with Allaah in His worship, even if you are cut to pieces or burnt.

2. Do not abandon the obligatory  Prayer deliberately. And whoever abandons it deliberately will lose Allaahs protection.

3. Do not drink alcohol, for indeed it is the key to every evil.

4. Obey your parents (in the permissible matters), even if they command you to abandon your worldly possessions, then leave it for their sake.

5. Do not contend with those in authority (Leaders), even if you think you are more capable.

6. Do not run away from the army when it advances, even if you are killed and your companions flee.

7. Spend on your wife out of your means.

8. Do not raise a stick against your wife.

9. Command (teach and nurture) your family to fear Allaah, the Mighty and Exalted.
