Talhah bin ‘Ubaid Allah Al-Baghdaadi said, may Allah have
mercy on him:
وافق
ركوبي ركوب أحمد في السفينة، فكان يطيل السكوت، فإذا تكلم قال اللهم أمتنا على الإسلام والسنة
I happened to ride a boat with Ahmad and he would remain
silent for a long time.If he spoke he would say: “O' Allah cause us to die upon Islaam and the Sunnah”.
