Random Quote of the Day

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymīn رَحِمَهُ اللهُ said:

By Allāh, no one is devoted to Allāh in truth and sincerity, and performs the actions of the People of Paradise except that Allāh will never forsake him.

Your Limbs Will Testify On The Day of Reckoning (i.e Judgement) Against You!

20. Till, when they reach it (Hell-fire), their hearing (ears) and their eyes, and their skins will testify against them as to what they used to do.

21. And they will say to their skins, “Why do you testify against us?” They will say: “Allāh has caused us to speak as He causes all things to speak, and He created you the first time, and to Him you are made to return.”

22. And you have not been hiding yourselves (in the world), lest you ears, your eyes, and your skins should testify against you; but you thought that Allāh knew not much of what you were doing.

23. And that thought of yours which you thought about your Lord, has brought you to destruction; and you have become (this Day) of those utterly lost!

al-Hilâlî & Muhsin Khân Translation , The Noble Qur'ân, Sūrah 41. Fussilat 20-23.

And do not forget your share of this world.” (Soorah al-Qassas ayah 77)

And do not forget your share of this world. (Soorah al-Qassas ayah 77)

Do not forget your health, your strength, your youth and your wealth in using them to seek the Hereafter (Paradise).

Mujaahid and Ibn Zayd said:

Do not abandon and leave off working (acts of obedience) in this life for the Hereafter until you are saved from the punishment; because in reality a persons share from this world is that he works for the Hereafter (Paradise).

(Tafseer al-Bagawee 3/453, Daar al-Taybah print)

Allaah causes trials and tests to occur upon the people- upon the Muslims and the believers- in order to distinguish the truthful one from the liar, the true believer from the hypocritical liar, and the good one from the wicked one...

Shaykh  Fawzaan stated:

“Clear distinction is not attained except when trials and tribulations occur, the true believers  are the firm and steadfast while the deceptive hypocrites stumble.

The life of this world is sweet & green

The Prophet said, “The life of the world is sweet and green. Allāh makes you generations succeeding one another so that He may try you in respect of your actions. So beware of the beguilements of the world and those of women. The first trial of Banu Isrāel was through women.” [Muslim]

Respond to Bad Treatment with Kindness

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله stated:

So whoever loves that Allāh  would replace his bad deeds with good deeds, then he should exchange the bad treatment that he receives from others with kindness. And whoever knows that sins and bad deeds are innate to mankind, then he would not dwell on the bad treatment that he receives from others.

The Most Beloved Way in Coming Close to Allāh

Farwah Ibn Nawfal [d.41H] رحمه الله said,

Khabbāb Ibn al-Arath  رضي الله عنه took me by my hand and said:

“Seek nearness to Allāh with whatever you are able, and you cannot draw nearer to Allāh with anything more beloved to Him than His Speech (the Qur’ān).”

Shar Usūl I’tiqād Alis-Sunnah (558)
