The
Companion, ‘Abdullāh Ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما would say in his
supplications:
اَللَّهُمَّ
لا تَنْزِعْ مِنِّي الْإِيْمانَ كما أَعْطَيْتَهُ
Allāhumma lā tanzi’
minnil-eemāna kamā a’ṭaytahu
“O
Allāh! Do not remove
Eemān from me, as you (are the
One who) gave it.”
