Hayaa: بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ “But you prefer the life of this world although the Hereafter is better and more lasting.” (87:16-17)

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ “But you prefer the life of this world although the Hereafter is better and more lasting.” (87:16-17)

Imaam ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“The most deceived and deluded of the creation is the one who is beguiled with the life of this world and its immediate delights, and prefers it over the Hereafter (Paradise), and is pleased with it more than the Hereafter.”
