Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ said: “Verily, Allaah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather he looks at your hearts and actions.” [Saheeh Muslim]

 

Ad-Dahaak  رحمه الله  narrates that he heard Aboo Idrees al-Kawlāni (d. 80H) رحمه الله   say:

“A (person having) a clean heart in dirty clothing is better than (a person having) clean clothing but has a dirty heart.”
