Ahnaf Ibn Qais was from the people of intelligence
& eloquence, and from the notables of the people of Basra. Ibnul Mubaarak
said, “A man verbally abused Al-Ahnaf, so when he finished, Ahnaf said, “Allaah
concealed much more [than what you said]”.
