When the Ignorant Speak about Fitnah it
Increases the Fitnah
Explained by Shaykh Sālih bin Fawzān Al-Fawzān
Question:
How can we distinguish between being quiet about Fitnah such that the silence
is considered blameworthy and not delving into the Fitnah which is
praiseworthy?
Shaykh
Fawzān: The Fitnah should not be spoken about except by the people of knowledge
and the people of insight, it is not for everyone to speak about it. If the
ignorant person speaks about the Fitnah it increases the fitnah, but if the
people of knowledge speak about the fitnah and clarify it, then it will be
extinguished by Allah’s permission. So it is not for everyone to speak about
the fitnah, rather the only ones who
should speak about it are the people of knowledge and insight, those who know
the truth from falsehood and they know the way in which they should speak about
it. It is not for everyone to delve into the fitnah, and speak about it and
make fatwa and comment about this and that.
