بـسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
When Abdullah
bin ‘Abbas رضى الله عنهما was
asked about the people of Al-A’râf, he said:
“Al-A’râf is a mount between Paradise and the
Fire. It was called Al-A’râf because it overlooks Paradise and the
Fire, and it has trees,
fruits, rivers and springs. Those who will be
kept at Al- A’râf include some men who joined the Jihâd without
permission from their fathers and mothers and were martyred in Jihâd.
Their death in the Cause of Allâh qualified them to be save from the Fire,
but their disobedience to their parents
prevented them from entering Paradise. They will remain at Al-A’râf until Allâh decides in their case.”1
