وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ أَكْثَرُهُم
بِٱللَّهِ إِلَّا وَهُم مُّشْرِكُونَ
And
most of them believe not in Allāh except while
they associate others with Him. [Yusuf: 106]
Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allāh be pleased
with him) said: One of them even associates his dog (with Allāh). He says, “If
it weren’t for the dog, we would have been robbed tonight.”
