Conformity to the Sunnah is more important than multitude of Deeds 

The Allaama Ibn Uthaymeen -Rahimahullaah- said:

“إصابة السنة أفضل من كثرة العمل، ولذا قال ﷻ: ﴿ليبلوكم أيكم أحسن عملا﴾ ولم يقل أكثر عملا”

‘Being correct upon the Sunnah is better than having lots of deeds, this is why Allaah -the Majestic- said: 《To test which one of you is best in action》and did not say having the most actions.’
