The Reason Why A Person Commits Innovation Thinking It Is From The
Sunnah
The ʿAllāmah
Ṣiddīq Ḥasan Khān al
Qanūjī رحمه الله stated:
And in many
cases, a person falls into innovations whilst thinking that in doing so he is
actually following the (the Prophet ﷺ), and the reason for this is because
of him not busying himself with (acquiring) knowledge or asking the people of
knowledge.

من أسباب وقوع الإنسان في
البدعة وهو يظن أنها من السنة
قال العلامة صديق حسن خان القنوجي
رحمه الله:
وكثيرا ما يقع الإنسان في الابتداع
وهو يظن
أنه في الاتباع والسبب عدم الشغل
بالعلم
وسؤال أهل الذكر.
