Imām Muqbil
al-Wādī (رحمه الله) said,
“Where did the
Ṣūfīs come from?
Through blind
following (taqlīd).
Where did
wiping (seeking blessing) over the soil (on the grave) of the dead come from?
Through blind
following (taqlīd).
Where did
unveiling and promiscuousity come from?
Through blind
following (taqlīd).
Where did most
of the calamities which deter from (following) the Book and the Sunnah come
from?
Through blind
following (taqlīd).
The origin of
most of the calamities is blind following (taqlīd).
