The Losers this Ramadān (1): by Shaikh Sālih Al-Fawzān

Shaikh Sālih Al-Fawzān:
The losers this Ramadān (1)
Acquiant Yourselves with the worth of this month…

Shaikh  Sālih Al-Fawzān (حفظه الله) said:

“The one who enters this month and he wastes himself with sins and evil acts, and he does not repent to Allāh. He does not pay attention to this month nor that which it contains of goodness and blessings. So he passes it by like he passes the other months. He is denied its blessings and he leaves it just as he entered it, not benefitting from it all:

They are the ones upon whose hearts, hearing and sight Allāh has set a seal. And they are the heedless (An-Nahl:108)

Like those who forgot Allāh, so He made them forget themselves – and they are the transgressing sinners. (Al-Hasr:19)

So his head is not uplifted by this month, and he does not know its worth and value. This is the true deprivation! We ask Allāh for well being.”

Du'aa Of Ibn 'Umar When Breaking The Fast

بـسم الله الرّحمن الرّحيم

From Naafi: from Ibn ‘Umar -radiyallaahu ‘anhumaa- that he said:

“It used to be said: ”Every Believer has a supplication that is answered when he breaks his Fast: either it is brought forward for him in his worldly life, or it is stored up for him in the Hereafter. He said: So Ibn ‘Umar used to say when he broke the Fast:

(ياَ وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ اغْفِرْ لِي)

[Yaa Waasi’al-Maghfirat-ighfirlee]

“O One Vast in Forgiveness! Forgive me.”

- Reported by Ibnul-A’raabee in his Mu’jam’ (no. 341), and by al-Bayhaqee in his 'Shu’abul Eemaan’ (no. 3749).

Declared hasan’ by Shaikh Aboo ‘Umar Usaamah al-‘Utaybee (hafizahullaah) in an article entitled ‘Tahqeequs-Sawaab fee anna du’aa-as-Saa’im mustajaab’.

Indeed Allaah has forbidden for Hell the person who testifies: "There is nothing worthy of worship in truth (no true God) but Allaah...

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

فإنَّ الله  حَرَّمَ عَلَى النَّارِ مَنْ قَالَ:لاَ إلهَ إلاَّ الله يَبْتَغِي بِذَلِكَ وَجْهَ الله.

“Indeed Allaah has forbidden for Hell the person who testifies:

“There is nothing worthy of worship in truth (no true God) but Allaah, seeking thereby nothing but Allaah’s Face (pleasure).” (Al-Bukhari, Muslim)
